In NY no less!

The Obama campaign is condemning as “tasteless and offensive” a New Yorker magazine cover that depicts Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in a turban, fist-bumping his gun-slinging wife. An American flag burns in their fireplace.

The New Yorker says it’s satire. It certainly will be candy for cable news.

I don’t know. It might be a bit outré for him but it seems to capture her quite well.

Well, tough darts and get over it.

Affirmative Action’s nasty questions

Michelle Obama thesis was on racial divide

Michelle Obama’s senior year thesis at Princeton University, obtained from the campaign by Politico, shows a document written by a young woman grappling with a society in which a black Princeton alumnus might only be allowed to remain “on the periphery.” Read the full thesis here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

“My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my ‘blackness’ than ever before,” the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. “I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.”

Of course, she feels this way; one becomes infected with this reaction as a product of Affirmative Action. Facilitating this along is the estimation of the “helped” by the Progs. Admittance without their beneficence is unfathomable, so they must be inferior.
Whether or not she actually necessitated AA is not in debate here, I have no personal information speaking to the subject. In the Progressive world however, presumption is a claret mark.
Affirmative Action is the yellow star in Germany, a categorization; Fascists insist on taxonomy.

Earlier this week, commentator Jonah Goldberg remarked on National Review Online, “A reader in the know informs me that Michelle Obama’s thesis … is unavailable until Nov. 5, 2008, at the Princeton library. [snip]

Care to speculate why?

Obamas Make McCain Vote Attractive

I must admit that since becoming the front runner, the Obamas are making a vote for John McCain a lot more palatable.  Take this quote from Mrs. Moonbat-in-Chief:

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”

Amazing stuff by the Mrs. there.  This is much worse than her comments about no black people living in Iowa.  It’s interesting to see how the prospect of gaining power effects the blame America first crowd.  But clearly this statement just adds to Barack’s credibility gap on national security issues.  How aggressive a defense do you think Barack or Michelle will mount against our nation’s enemies if they have no pride in our country?

A vote for McCain looks mighty attractive in comparison.
