Tofurkey Day

Thanksgiving, that time when PETA goes berserk, flaps phony turkey wings  and gets naked behind a gross recipe.

The big gobble on the PETA plate is making a glob of bean curd look like a turkey. They lie and try to fool each other with tales of how close it tastes to the “real” thing. (as if they would know, they better not)

Let us look at the other side of this situation.

Elvira invites all the kids and grandkids to come over to the house for Thanksgiving. The smell of good food and fresh baking wafts about the house.

She announces that Grandpa Wilbur created a special treat; he worked with the turkey all morning and the bird now looks and tastes like a Brussels sprout.

Finally, it is possible to pay the entire state of Vermont a livable wage and pay for it. Some rather sharp changes will be necessary, but nothing that cannot be accomplished and all of it good for the community’s social structure.

We have this assessment which I’ll use as Colin Robinson toiled over it for some time:
