Shattering the glass ceiling
The military has no problem with shattering the glass ceiling-or floor or any other barrier to getting the job done.

Smedley, hire the fat one!
Confirming my belief that a “husky” girl is strong, cheerful, willing to please, and more likely to have a bundt cake on her desk, read THIS from 1943. Forbes and Yankee Magazine, so far, haven’t reprinted it. Go figure. This is right up their alley.
Excerpts:
1. Pick young married women. They usually have more of a sense of responsibility than their unmarried sisters: they’re less likely to be flirtatious, they need the work or they wouldn’t be doing it, and they still have the interest to work hard and deal with the public efficiently.
2. When you use older women, try to get ones who have worked outside the home at some time in their lives. Older women….are inclined to be cantankerous and fussy….
3. General experience indicates that “husky” girls - those who are just a little on the heavy side - are more even-tempered and efficient than their underweight sisters.
Read all of them. It will make you a better man, if you’re a man, and a happier girl, if you’re a girl.

Sex stratagem for the modern male
The “Modern Feminist Handbook” strongly advocates that males adopt this methodology.
“Modern Maturity” on the other hand, found the ploy failed in the basic test. Most females, when confronted with this artifice, yelled about crumbs in bed and then went to get the blue rinse. No females in the “Modernity Maturity” investigation knew if the male was faking.
More study is needed.
Male spiders play dead for sex: study
Archived in: Feminism, SexNot all male nursery web spiders looking for a little arachnid sex adopt this technique, but those that do more than double their chances of hitting the jackpot, according to new study in Behavioral Ecology, reported Wednesday in the British magazine New Scientist.
In experiments designed by Trine Bilde of the University of Aaarhus in Denmark, researchers set up date-and-mate opportunities for Pisaura mirabilis, a species native to Europe.
All the males sought to attract partners by offering a gift of food, held in the mouth.
But the ones that lay flat and motionless — even if meant getting dragged about by a female that had latched onto the victuals — wound up in a much better position, as it were, to engage in sexual activity.
The hapless males that tried the direct approach wound up keeping the free meal but not getting what they were really after.
Males that played dead were also allowed to copulate longer than males that did not, ensuring more eggs could fertilized, the researchers reported.
Playing dead is a well-known defence mechanism in nature, but this is apparently the first time such behaviour has been observed as a strategy for obtaining sexual favours.

For Valentines Day
Is this ever true. Believe it. Putting up with the garbage is not in the plan.
After 25 years of unmarried monogamy (and still ongoing), I can tell you, there is only one rule I use. If she doesn’t like it, she can GET OUT. Right now, don’t et the door hit you in the butt. It works simply because it is right, don’t stay where you don’t like it!
[snip]
Now, because we’re guys, certain things have a disproportionate effect on both the good and bad things: on the good side, sex, food and shared interests being probably the best examples; on the bad, infidelity, constant nagging and invasion of privacy constitute the negative. The degree of each, good or bad, will vary among individual men, of course. Some men will put up with almost anything if the sex is of the “bed on fire” variety, for instance, while others will walk out of a relationship for something as trifling as compulsory weekly visits to Mom (hers).[snip]
And screw e-harmony too!

Pay or don’t party
Students pinched by birth control pill costs
Federal legislation has forced Cal Poly’s clinic to triple its prices; two senators hope to help
By Nick Wilson
The higher cost, he said, is the result of 2005 federal legislation that barred university health clinics from access to lower-priced drugs.
[snip]
With the cost of college, plus or minus campus residence, meal plans and books running from $8,000 at a state school to over $40,000, for a 10 month year, that breaks down to $800 to $4,000 per month. Her cost is 0.03125 to 0.00628 percent of the monthly hit. Five beers in a FB emporium pays for the pills. So does one less lid.
Paying for the pill with a modest shrinkage in drink and dope purchases, sleeping in her own bed alone every other weekend and maybe even studying has a salutatory on the wallet as well as health costs.
One also has a low to no cost option for pregnancy protection called abstention; additionally, this has no failure rate.
Bragg said “thousands” of Cal Poly students seek birth control from the university’s health services center. He said he didn’t have specific numbers, but he estimates a month’s supply of birth control pills now costs Cal Poly students about $25.
That amount isn’t as much as the monthly supply of $40 to $50 for pills in other parts of the country, but it’s more than the $5 to $10 per month that once was standard.
“Students are feeling the increased costs,” he said.
[snip]
More of the samo-samo noise from the tykes, I want—you pay. If the ancillary costs of education are so severe, a lifestyle change is in order. Would 10 years of honest labor help pay for the privilege of education? A couple of hitches in the service alleviate the urge to merge promiscuously while kicking the infantile gimmes.
“When you look at the data of the termination of pregnancies, this is money well spent,” he said. “The cost of terminating pregnancies or the cost of an unwanted child to society is much higher.”
Not having the brains to avoid the problem of pregnancy, suggests two conclusions. One is the inordinate waste of money on sex education in the elementary and high schools. The other one drawn is that these individuals are too stupid to be educated and should be sold into some Middle East harem.

A reason to vote carefully this year
Why Guys Can’t Win
If you work too hard, there is never any time for her.
If you don’t work enough, you’re a good-for-nothing bum.
f she has a boring repetitive job with low pay, it’s exploitation.
If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay, you should get off your butt and find something better.
If you get a promotion ahead of her, it’s favoritism.
If she gets a job ahead of you, it’s equal opportunity.
If you mention how nice she looks, it’s sexual harassment.
If you keep quiet, it’s male indifference.
If you cry, you’re a wimp.
If you don’t, you’re insensitive.
If you make a decision without consulting her, you’re a control freak.
If she makes a decision without consulting you, she’s a liberated woman.
If you ask her to do something she doesn’t enjoy, that’s manipulation.
If she asks you, it’s a favor.
If you try to keep yourself in shape, you’re self-centered.
If you don’t, you’re a slob.
If you buy her flowers, you’re after something.
If you don’t, you’re not thoughtful.
If you’re proud of your achievements, you’re an egotist.
If you’re not, you’re not ambitious.
If she has a headache, she’s tired.
If you have a headache, you don’t love her anymore.
Damn, it was better back when they were chattel.

Bring Them Home Now
The time has come. It’s lost. What we’ve believed up until now about this enterprise, this risky mission, is tragically and desperately wrong. We look into the eyes of our leaders and see nothing but a swarm of bats. The morbid futility, the evil of burying repeated failure under lofty rhetoric, the fruitless planning, the incompetence on the ground. The toxic ugliness spreading through the ranks can only lead to more loss of American prestige here and abroad. The daily drain on American good will and the human cost are too great.
We hoped that simpletons could be transformed by fire into simple patriots, that a valid government would flourish. We were wrong. The cold figures of support for the mission, according to a June Gallup poll cited in Time magazine online (June 27th) have falled to 14%. It’s the lowest level of support for….Congress….in 34 years, near the proximate end of the Vietnam War. It’s hopeless. Go home, House and Senate. Serve the Republic. Depart your places and howl into your pillows at home.
We long for heroes and we get Harry Reid, the rope man in every sepia tintype of Old West lynch mobs. We long for the success and the distaff perspective of a powerful woman; a woman to confirm the first principles of feminism, and we we get Nancy Pelosi, the tooth-grinding Uber Grandma with a switchblade in her apron pocket. We long for illumination, maybe a spark of brilliance, and we get the lightless Jack-o-Lantern head of Dick Durbin. Kennedy, Kerry, Specter and Warner. Warm doorstops.
Spare us the blue blazer and cowpie hair of Trent Lott, the boy goon repugnance of Lindsey Graham, the horrifying post-mortem pallor of John McCain, the silver sharkskin suit and glistening pomade of Robert Byrd. Send Schumer to Speaker’s Corner…in London. Send Harkin and Hagel to sort cans from bottles. The list is too long. Start fresh. Maybe without these shards of glass under the national saddle, we won’t be galloping off to nowhere every day. And for laughs, give us a few days of Yosemite Howard Dean, a little shooting and shrieking for diversion. Anything is better than this.

NOW’s silent support of the Taliban and womens oppression
You all know about the Yale story, right? Yale is supporting this taliban member within its school… accepting this person who was a member of the taliban as a student. The taliban was one of the most oppressive governments to its people…. Especially oppressive with women. Women were routinely slaughtered for the merest of offensives. A soccer arena was the scene of many deaths of women who were never given a trial.. or given a chance. And the women that were not killed were so oppressed that they were covered from head to toe.. they were not allowed outside without a man.. they were not allowed to be educated… to drive.. to wear makeup.. etc… yet Yale in its infinite wisdom has a taliban member as a student… and that student is applying for another year at yale.
My biggest question is WHERE IS NOW!!?? The National organization of Women has been silent on this issue. Why? This man was a part of a government that savagely oppressed and slaughtered women. Young girls were given to men to marry and were beaten and abused. (for example: http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/)
Going to the NOW website… and there is not one thing on that page about the taliban member in Yale. Its mostly about abortion. No one there seems to care that Yale is coddling a taliban member. One link is to International womens day… Where the world is to celebrate womens economic, social and political achievements… and in the next paragraph.. they attack President Bush saying that he is attacking womens rights…. What the hell is wrong with these women? Where are their priorities? In one paragraph filled with Bush criticism they say that women are suffering immeasurably because of the war in Afghanistan…… and yet.. they are 100% silent on the taliban member at Yale. NOW’s hypocrisy knows no bounds and they have become an embarrassment to women. Their top priority is abortion and contraception. Everything else seems to pale in comparison. Their Silence on true oppression of women is telling.

So Much For Diversity (Continued)
Here are a few more more blog reactions to the resignation of Lawrence Summers:
Free speech is under increasing attack. One would have thought that newspaper caricaturists, professional historians and the president of the richest university in the world could express an opinion. The Mohammed cartoons, David Irving and Lawrence Summers show that even traditional opinion-makers, people whose stock-in-trade are ideas, must watch their back.
Commenter at Outside the Beltway:
Given how many academics pride themselves on challenging their students to question their assumptions, it’s regrettable how some Harvard profs reacted to the same treatment.
Being Preident of Harvard should mean never having to say you’re sorry, it seems to me, but then, I’m old fashioned when it comes to this sort of thing.
Summers, a moderate Democrat we’re told, obviously does not share that view, for all the good it did him, and when the faculty a year ago disagreed with his right to say what he believed, he did not defend himself, did not wrap himself, justly, in the blanket of academic freedom and the First Amendment, but instead thought it best to eat crow (as they most decidedly do not say at Harvard, ever), bow his head, and take, stoically, the criticisms that came his way for doing that which someone in his position is supposed to do, speak his mind.
He now has his reward.
And Harvard its continuing problems of a lack of leadership.
Just desserts . . .
I’d say.
I saved the best for quote for last. It comes from Dr. Sanity:
In the history of academia, I don’t think anyone has ever come closer to voluntary castration for the cause of radical feminism. And look where it got him.
