Guess Who!

Ye of liberal faith and NPR listeners, check the link to make sure this story actually isn’t about those rascally rich Republicans in Minneapolis. I might be MANUFACTURING THIS OUT OF WHOLE CLOTH.

DNC host’s tax-free gas

Angry reaction brings a halt to use of city pumps

The committee hosting the Democratic National Convention has used the city’s gas pumps to fill up and apparently avoided paying state and federal fuel taxes.

The practice, which began four months ago, may have ended hours after its disclosure. (emphasis added) [snip]

Per usual with the Donks, do anything until you get caught.

However, Public Works spokeswoman Christine Downs told City Council members just hours before that host committee members were fueling up at the city pumps. The city does not pay taxes on the fuel for its fleet, and Downs said the host committee would not either.

Really, who would DARE ask the Chosen’s minions to pay taxes meant only for the unclean!

The disclosure brought immediate scrutiny. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said the practice “would seem” to be illegal and referred the matter to the state Department of Revenue. [snip]

[snip]
City Councilman Charlie Brown raised the question of whether the host committee would be paying fuel taxes, and Downs said it wouldn’t. [snip]

[snip]
“If you’ve got a 14-gallon tank, on the average, that’s about $5.66 that they don’t have to pay for fill up,” Brown said. [snip]

What do you want from the most ethical party in America, ETHICS? HONESTY?
How about paying their fair share!

Donk convention starts early

I wonder if it is Dean or the Obamadhi? As weird as Hillary is, she is too normal to be in this news event.

Purported UFO video to be shown Friday

A video that purportedly shows a living, breathing space alien will be shown to the news media Friday in Denver. [snip]

In a statement, Peckman said “other related credible evidence” proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday’s news conference, too.

In 2003, Peckman authored an off-beat ballot initiative that would have required the city to implement stress-reduction techniques. The “Safety Through Peace” initiative failed, but garnered 32 percent of the vote.

Then there is this in the news:

Feds bust owners of Calif. medical marijuana shops

[snip]
Virgil Grant III, 41, and his wife, Psytra Grant, 33, were arrested Tuesday and appeared in court but neither entered pleas, said Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office. [snip]

There probably is a connection and none to subtle either.
