Barack Steals More History

Barack’s delusions of grandeur know no bounds.  After stealing from Reagan, Kennedy, and a host of other presidents, now he’s stealing the backdrop for MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech on the Lincoln Memorial:

And although he’s familiar with the backdrop, designed by Britney Spears’ set designer (honestly, I’m not making that up), did he ever actually read it?  Dr. King asked us to judge people by the content of their characters, not their skin colors.  So, although I know I’m suppose to be amazed by the fact that he’s black and that we’re “making history”, it’s still his inexperience and far left policies that make him unfit to be president.

Update:  Barack’s speech will address–Yawn!–”Change We Can Believe In”.  Never saw that one coming.

Denver is under control

Protesters denied access to attorneys, forced to march in leg shackles, ACLU charges

The ACLU issued a stinging rebuke to the Denver Police Department Wednesday, alleging that the department may have violated laws and constitutional rights of protesters arrested outside the Democratic National Convention.

In the letter, obtained by RAW STORY, the ACLU revealed that the police refused those arrested access to attorneys. Police did not let detainees use phones unless they posted their own bonds, and even failed to provide shoes, in one case marching a protester into court in bare feet and leg shackles, according the ACLU. [snip]

The horror of it all, the ACLU in tears, get out the compassion kit. These passionate patriots, protesting the Donks and their insufficiently fascist socialist policies merely exercised their civil rights. They’re just carrying on the time-honored tradition of rioting to get one’s way, poor waifs.
These bozos are hell bent on destroying the Constitution with the the ACLU enabling them. The only civil rights considered are theirs, everyone else’s be damned. What they don’t like is getting the very police treatment they wish to inflict on the rest of us through a change in government “style.”

An improvement to the show: truncheons on noses and foreheads in the evening. Remember how worried the idiots were that the powers were going to unlimber a “crap cannon” on them; one that would loosen their bowels uncontrollably. Just what is needed for these situations.

Nothing more than asymmetrical warfare; that’s how they treat it, tender them what they desire. The only fools left then will be the ones inside the convention.

Don’t believe this is the Donk direction?

Is America Ready To Send its Political Opponents to Jail?

That is why it’s particularly troubling that the Obama campaign has filed a criminal complaint against the people behind an ad being run that links Obama to avowed terrorist William Ayers.

Per Ben Smith’s Blog at Politico:

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Bauer has called for criminal investigations and prosecutions into donors to independent groups critical of Obama, including one supporting John Edwards and another supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton. His words did have the effect of scaring their donord and consultants, but haven’t yet appeared to result in any prosecution.

So it appears to be a standard stratgy of the Obama team to threaten their political enemies with prison for being disrespectful of Obama. This is a tactic that is reminiscent of third world countries like the ones the Obama relatives are involved with in Africa.

Not to mention the Socialist countries of the Soviet Bloc and the fascists demonstrating outside.

Guess Who!

Ye of liberal faith and NPR listeners, check the link to make sure this story actually isn’t about those rascally rich Republicans in Minneapolis. I might be MANUFACTURING THIS OUT OF WHOLE CLOTH.

DNC host’s tax-free gas

Angry reaction brings a halt to use of city pumps

The committee hosting the Democratic National Convention has used the city’s gas pumps to fill up and apparently avoided paying state and federal fuel taxes.

The practice, which began four months ago, may have ended hours after its disclosure. (emphasis added) [snip]

Per usual with the Donks, do anything until you get caught.

However, Public Works spokeswoman Christine Downs told City Council members just hours before that host committee members were fueling up at the city pumps. The city does not pay taxes on the fuel for its fleet, and Downs said the host committee would not either.

Really, who would DARE ask the Chosen’s minions to pay taxes meant only for the unclean!

The disclosure brought immediate scrutiny. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said the practice “would seem” to be illegal and referred the matter to the state Department of Revenue. [snip]

[snip]
City Councilman Charlie Brown raised the question of whether the host committee would be paying fuel taxes, and Downs said it wouldn’t. [snip]

[snip]
“If you’ve got a 14-gallon tank, on the average, that’s about $5.66 that they don’t have to pay for fill up,” Brown said. [snip]

What do you want from the most ethical party in America, ETHICS? HONESTY?
How about paying their fair share!

Here is our chance

It is not often our electorate has this possibility.

Canadians prefer Obama over own leaders: poll

A new poll suggests Canadians would prefer to vote for Barack Obama rather cast a ballot for their own political leaders, while 45 per cent of Americans envy Canada’s health care system.

The bi-national survey, conducted by the Strategic Counsel for CTV and The Globe and Mail, showed that here in Canada, Obama was more admired than Prime Minister Stephen Harper — or any other national leader.

Lets send Obama AND that 45% of Americans up to Canada. I’ll cheerfully take the conservative Canadians in exchange.

Let’s make a Deal Canada, you can have what’s behind door #1, #2 and the Cookie jar too. Hell, we’ll toss in Jeremiah Wright, Farrakhan, plus your choice of Dirtbin, Pelosi, or Reid.

You can’t beat this with a big stick!

When Dems End Energy Obstructionism, They Can Party Like It’s 1999

If you have any money left after filling your gas tank, you can donate to the Democratic convention in Denver.  But before you buy Democrats champagne bottles and bacon wrapped scallops, ask yourself why they won’t let us build nuclear power plants, drill for offshore oil, build more refineries, or drill in ANWAR.  Hell, I’d donate $25 if they’d end their obstructionism toward sensible intermediate energy policies.

And don’t talk to me about alternative energy sources.  That’s the long-term policy.  Why aren’t Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi doing anything in the short to intermediate terms to alleviate the energy crunch?  Those “big hearted” liberals won’t even back a gas tax holiday.  Since they aren’t lifting a finger to address our energy needs, they’ll live with 1 big party in Denver.

At the Democrat Convention…

Everyone should be checked for ID when voting, not just Democrat convention goers

File this one under “irony”:

Balloting was to have begun in the early afternoon, immediately after speeches by Reilly and the other two Democrats seeking the nomination — former Clinton administration official Deval Patrick and Boston businessman Chris Gabrieli. It was delayed an hour to review delegate credential challenges.

Democrats have to be credentialed and authorized to vote at a convention, but most Democrats oppose laws requiring a valid ID to cast a vote on Election Day.  Democrats never have been big on eating their own cooking.
