Vacationing a human right, EU chief says

The European Union has declared travelling a human right, and is launching a scheme to subsidize vacations with taxpayers’ dollars for those too poor to afford their own trips.  [snip]

Seems this idiot picked a poor time to declare this human right. He might be hoping that a right to breathe exists and by-the-way where’s the carbon credits for this EU mess out of Iceland.

Volcanic ash cloud hits North American coast

LONDON (Reuters) – An ash cloud from a volcano in Iceland has spread across the Atlantic Ocean and brushed the Canadian coast, but is not expected to drift much further across North America, British forecasters said on Monday. [snip]

So much for all this anthropogenic carbon crap, anyone seen or heard Gore bitching about this Gaian eructation of CO2 into the air!

White House-”Climate Change is happening”

This is prima facie evidence of the Tooth Fairy’s existence!

The  money wasted on this fraud and on the non-stimulating Stimulus package can only be explained in this manner.

From the BLOG BRIEFING ROOM

The White House on Monday made exceptionally clear that it wants nothing to do with the furor over documents that global warming skeptics say prove the phenomenon is not a threat.

Despite the incident, which rocked international headlines last week, climate science is sound, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed this afternoon, and the White House nonetheless believes “climate change is happening.”

Older news but news just the same:

Climate change data dumped

SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.

It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.

The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.

Even though this is the UK, doesn’t it sound like Chicago voter rolls.

White House leaks

As furious as the One may get, leaks at the White House cannot be stopped. This purloined  chart, the centerpiece of Obama’s presentation at Copenhagen is in the public domain, to his extreme wrath.
tectonics-02.jpg
Both Obama and Gore, holders of the most esteemed prize known to mankind, given only for advancing TRUTH AND LIGHT, spent untold hours ginning up this scientific masterpiece.

Where the elite meet to…

It is nice to be important in Chicago…

Gun Control, Chicago-Style

Last week, the body of Chicago school board president Michael Scott was found in the Chicago River with a single bullet wound in his head. The big story was that this powerful, well-connected public official had, according to the county medical examiner, committed suicide. The less-noticed story was that he did it with an illegal weapon.

After all, handgun ownership is not allowed in the city of Chicago, which has one of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and Scott killed himself with a .380-caliber sidearm. [snip]

Amazingly enough, he was not the first local public official to take the view that firearms restrictions are something for other, ordinary people to observe. Chicago politicians are zealously committed to gun control in law but fairly relaxed about it in practice.

In 1994, State Sen. Rickey Hendon had an unregistered handgun stolen from his home in a burglary, and he didn’t feign contrition about his disregard of the ordinance.

“I have a right to protect myself,” he declared, noting that he had been burglarized before—and forgetting that the state legislature of which he is a member allows Illinois cities to deprive their citizens of that right. Asked if he would replace the lost piece, Hendon said, “No comment.” The police were kind enough not to charge him.

U.S. Sen. Roland Burris, another Chicagoan, has endorsed a nationwide ban on handguns and, in 1993, organized Chicago’s first Gun Turn-in Day. But the following year, while running unsuccessfully for governor, he admitted he owned a handgun—”for protection,” he explained—and hadn’t seen fit to turn it in along with those other firearms. Lesser mortals apparently can protect themselves with forks and spoons. [snip]

Then the batch of fraudsters if the UK, yeah, the Gorebot’s buds…

Viscount Monckton on Climategate: ‘They Are Criminals’ (PJM Exclusive)

This is what they did — these climate “scientists” on whose unsupported word the world’s classe politique proposes to set up an unelected global government this December in Copenhagen, with vast and unprecedented powers to control all formerly free markets, to tax wealthy nations and all of their financial transactions, to regulate the economic and environmental affairs of all nations, and to confiscate and extinguish all patent and intellectual property rights. [snip]

Worse, these arrogant fraudsters — for fraudsters are what we now know them to be — have refused, for years and years and years, to reveal their data and their computer program listings. Now we know why: As a revealing 15,000-line document from the computer division at the Climate Research Unit shows, the programs and data are a hopeless, tangled mess….[snip]

Finally, these huckstering snake-oil salesmen and “global warming” profiteers — for that is what they are — have written to each other encouraging the destruction of data that had been lawfully requested under the Freedom of Information Act in the UK by scientists who wanted to check whether their global temperature record had been properly compiled.[snip]

Then the voter registration darlings who are so above board…

San Diego ACORN Document Dump Scandal

[snip]
Shockingly, we now learn that the ACORN office in National City (San Diego County) engaged in a massive document dump on the evening of October 9th, containing thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents, just days prior to the Attorney General’s visit.

BigGovernment.com has learned that not only did this document dump occur, but the documents in question were irresponsibly and brazenly dumped in a public dumpster, without considering laws and regulations as to how sensitive information should be treated. [snip]

Here’s some one who is lucky the compassionate death panelists didn’t pull out his feeding and water tubes.

Man trapped in 23-year ‘coma’ reveals horror of being unable to tell doctors he was conscious

A car crash victim has spoken of the horror he endured for 23 years after he was misdiagnosed as being in a coma when he was conscious the whole time.

Rom Houben, trapped in his paralysed body after a car crash, described his real-life nightmare as he screamed to doctors that he could hear them - but could make no sound.

‘I screamed, but there was nothing to hear,’ said Mr Houben, now 46, who doctors thought was in a persistent vegatative state.

Yeah, very lucky ObamaCare isn’t in place.

Falling acorns and other dire warnings

Warning: Oil supplies are running out fast

Catastrophic shortfalls threaten economic recovery, says world’s top energy economist

Steve Connor, Science Editor
Someone sprung this clown’s mainspring.

The world is heading for a catastrophic energy crunch that could cripple a global economic recovery because most of the major oil fields in the world have passed their peak production, a leading energy economist has warned.

Jesus, now I need to clean my shorts! What’s with these pointy-headed idiots? Couldn’t they just have dropped another acorn on some chicken’s head!

Higher oil prices brought on by a rapid increase in demand and a stagnation, or even decline, in supply could blow any recovery off course, said Dr Fatih Birol, the chief economist at the respected International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, which is charged with the task of assessing future energy supplies by OECD countries.

In an interview with The Independent, Dr Birol said that the public and many governments appeared to be oblivious to the fact that the oil on which modern civilisation depends is running out far faster than previously predicted and that global production is likely to peak in about 10 years – at least a decade earlier than most governments had estimated.
[snip]

There is now a real risk of a crunch in the oil supply after next year when demand picks up because not enough is being done to build up new supplies of oil to compensate for the rapid decline in existing fields.

Wait a minute; what’s this crap? Not enough is being done to build up “new supplies” after this Poobah of Petro Profligacy just ran through the courtyard screaming modern civilization will collapse in a decade.

So what are we selling here? The acorn didn’t scare you, climate change proved to be a hoax, causing Al Gore to sulk and get fat.
Here’s the next Obama says! “We have to do this immediately, It’s for the newts, Women and children hurt most, Gays, Lesbians offended and SEIU will punch your lights out”, if change doesn’t occur by 4:30 PM.

Environmentalists fear that as supplies of conventional oil run out, governments will be forced to exploit even dirtier alternatives, such as the massive reserves of tar sands in Alberta, Canada, which would be immensely damaging to the environment because of the amount of energy needed to recover a barrel of tar-sand oil compared to the energy needed to collect the same amount of crude oil.
“Just because oil is running out faster than we have collectively assumed, does not mean the pressure is off on climate change,” said Jeremy Leggett, a former oil-industry consultant and now a green entrepreneur with Solar Century.
“Shell and others want to turn to tar, and extract oil from coal. But these are very carbon-intensive processes, and will deepen the climate problem,” Dr Leggett said.

Leggett’s creds are extremely PECCABLE.

“What we need to do is accelerate the mobilisation of renewables, energy efficiency and alternative transport.
“We have to do this for global warming reasons anyway, but the imminent energy crisis redoubles the imperative,” he said.

Oil: An unclear future
*Why is oil so important as an energy source?
Crude oil has been critical for economic development and the smooth functioning of almost every aspect of society. Agriculture and food production is heavily dependent on oil for fuel and fertilisers. In the US, for instance, it takes the direct and indirect use of about six barrels of oil to raise one beef steer. It is the basis of most transport systems. Oil is also crucial to the drugs and chemicals industries and is a strategic asset for the military.

A lefty’s wet dream on a Cialis high: Population control, ending the military, offing big corps, turning everyone Vegan and total organic farming. They’ll need a Priapus rider on the ObamaCare.

*How are oil reserves estimated?
The amount of oil recoverable is always going to be an assessment subject to the vagaries of economics – which determines the price of the oil and whether it is worth the costs of pumping it out –and technology, which determines how easy it is to discover and recover. Probable reserves have a better than 50 per cent chance of getting oil out. Possible reserves have less than 50 per cent chance.

This is better known as the “Dipstick Method” and depends upon who is in office and which lobbyist donated the most money.

*Why is there such disagreement over oil reserves?
All numbers tend to be informed estimates. [snip]

Compilation by eco-nuts for whom CO2 engulfs the planet

*What is “peak oil” and when will it be reached?
This is the point when the maximum rate at which oil is extracted reaches a peak because of technical and geological constraints, with global production going into decline from then on. The UK Government, along with many other governments, has believed that peak oil will not occur until well into the 21st Century, at least not until after 2030.

The International Energy Agency believes peak oil will occur Thursday.
Enviro-nazis believe it occurred when Rockefeller drilled the first well in Pennsylvania.

*With global warming, why should we be worried about peak oil?
There are large reserves of non-conventional oil, such as the tar sands of Canada. But this oil is dirty and will produce vast amounts of carbon dioxide which will make a nonsense of any climate change agreement. Another problem concerns how fast oil production is declining in fields that are past their peak production. The rate of decline can vary from field to field and this affects calculations on the size of the reserves. If we are not adequately prepared for peak oil, global warming could become far worse than expected.

This is the big acorn tossed from the sky on to your head.
Now do you believe the sky is falling?

Maybe it won’t be blue.

‘Cloud ship’ scheme to deflect the sun’s rays is favourite to cut global warming

Ships with giant funnels which travel the world’s seas creating more clouds to deflect the sun’s rays could help cut global warming, say scientists.

 cloud-ship.jpg

Just for giggles, what powers these marvels of enviro weenie science? Nuclear, solar, perhaps stored energy from the Halliburton Hurricane Machine.

1,900 ships at $9 billion is quite a bargain. The cost of putting up a nest of satellites to control the ships adds a few cents, give or take 3-4 billion.

The “cloud ships” are favoured among a series of schemes aimed at altering the climate which have been weighed up by a leading think-tank.
The project, which is being worked on by rival US and UK scientists, would see 1,900 wind-powered ships ply the oceans sucking up seawater and spraying minuscule droplets of it out through tall funnels to create large white clouds.
These clouds, it is predicted, would reflect around one or two per cent of the sunlight that would otherwise warm the ocean, thereby cancelling out the greenhouse effect caused by Carbon Dioxide emissions.
The unmanned ships would be directed by satellite to areas with the best conditions for increasing cloud cover, mainly in the Pacific and far enough away from land so as not to affect normal rainfall patterns. [snip]

The Copenhagen Consensus Centre, which advises governments on how to spend aid money, examined the various plans and found the cloud ships to be the most cost-effective.
They would cost $9 billion (£5.3 billion) to test and launch within 25 years, compared to the $250 billion that the world’s leading nations are considering spending each year to cut CO2 emissions, and the $395 trillion it would cost to launch mirrors into space. [snip]

He believes the schemes could prove that there are better ways of addressing climate change than simply reducing CO2 emissions. [snip]

Frogs feels well froggy

Germany calls carbon tariffs “eco-imperialism”

ARE, Sweden (Reuters) - Germany called a French idea to slap “carbon tariffs” on products from countries that are not trying to cut greenhouse gases a form of “eco-imperialism” and a direct violation of WTO rules.

The issue of greenhouse tariffs has met bitter opposition from developing countries such as China and India, who count on the developed world to buy their exports as they build their economies in the face of the worst financial crisis in decades. [snip]

Maybe Germany should slap P-O-R upside the head with some “eco-imperialism” as a contravention of WTO rules.

You know Obama’s vision for the USA is to turn the country into a developing nation, maybe like, say Kenya. He could feel at home that way.
Oh that’s right, HE’D BE EXEMPT from living that way; dispensation for Lord AlGore of course.

The U.S. House of Representatives has already passed legislation that contains carbon tariffs. It would allow the United States to impose duties on imports of carbon-intensive goods such as steel, cement, paper and glass from countries that have not taken steps to reduce their own emissions. Senator “Proud” Condescending Racist Bitch

What a shocker.  The low-life trash, uber-liberal, California screwball Boxer practices her plantation role of Miss Barbara in the Senate.  Poor Alford won’t get his invitation to the Big House.  Uh uh, no way, no how!

UPDATE:  Boxer also did not enter into the record a “report” on climate change by the NAACP.  She entered this, which says almost nothing about climate change and a lot about “black colleges and universities”.

Boxer is a disgusting liar, and a disgrace to the Senate (which is a low standard to meet).
