Restore Troop Funds Now!
Disgraceful! There’s no other way to describe Senate earmarks diverting military funds in the midst of 2 wars:
Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.
And color me shocked, shocked I say to see John Forbes Kerry participating in this earmark scandal. Padding Ted Kennedy’s legacy with a shiny new building is more important than properly equiping the troops. And what a surprise to find out that Senator Kerry held a somewhat different view on troop equipment while running for president:
“I can tell you right now: In a Kerry administration, no one will be getting body armor as a gift from a loved one,” Kerry said. “It will come from the armed forces of the United States of America.”
The troops certainly will need more body armor when the bullets and fuel run out. Shouldn’t President Obama, who was against earmarks during the campaign before being for them as president, step in and push to have the funds restored? After all, liberals are against the war, but they still support the troops, no?

Hanoi John is Scum, and the whole administration is totally lost. There are no “decision makers” there, just campaigners. The worst part of this is the slime in congress will just walk away from the responsibility of what they create. Any dead troops are just “collateral damage” to their all-important adgenda. May they all rot in hell.
Pathetic, simply pathetic. The very fact that these people waste our air everyday just makes me sick.
Hanoi John (traitor) Kerry steals money marked for weapons (8 soldiers killed in battle where weapons failed) and now he’s against sending additional troops to Afghanistan to back up the troops already there. I hope the POS dies a worse and more painful death than Fat a** Kennedy.
Dems always used the body armor issue for political gain. If they really supported the troops, they would support sending more troops. There is no greater protection or support for a soldier than more of his brothers at his side.
For example, multi-party electoral democracy is lauded because it allows those who assume a leadership role in representing the interests of capital, to have the best chance of being elected. ,
