Climate change you can count on
Perhaps Al Gore can hustle over to the UAE and explain the dangers of Global Warming to the denizens and give them a word for “snow.”
This is the frozen north … of the UAE
RAS AL KHAIMAH // Snow covered the Jebel Jais area for only the second time in recorded history yesterday.
So rare was the event that one lifelong resident said the local dialect had no word for it.
According to the RAK Government, temperatures on Jebel Jais dropped to -3°C on Friday night. On Saturday, the area had reached 1°C.
Major Saeed Rashid al Yamahi, a helicopter pilot and the manager of the Air Wing of RAK Police, said the snow covered an area of five kilometres and was 10cm deep.
“The sight up there this morning was totally unbelievable, with the snow-capped mountain and the entire area covered with fresh, dazzling white snow,” Major al Yamahi said. [snip]
Gore should have plenty of time to travel; notice that the polar bears stopped drowning on 1/20/09.
From the home of the Kyoto Protocol on Global Warming, on 1-24-09 in Nara Japan, celebration of New Year includes fireworks and an incendiary application to the entire mountain outside the city.

Lets hear it for carbon footprints.
Hey moonbats, where’s the outrage?

The moonbats and algwhoreons will blame the snowfall in the UAE on the evil, Kapitalistik, racist Christian bigots in the USA, calling this an attack on the poor brown people of the islamic world.
The Japanese will be excused for their little “celebration” as they are non-American and thus it would be racist and bigoted to hold them accountable to the same standards as the Americans.
The Russians and Europeons get excused because the enviros have fond memories of communism and socialism, respectively.
