Note the age of most of them. This is a death rattle. It crept up on them slowly, from the 30’s on, stood down during the war, and raced along since the 1940’s until today. They’re waking up at twilight.
They believed they could have something for nothing, and failed to see - or didn’t want to see - that The State always, always multiplies its cells like a cancer. It doesn’t stop with taxing the wealthy, eliminating the hereditary aristocracy or lampooning the Royals; it seeks growth for itself and self-preservation. Maybe the sclerotic class divisions in England only made it worse.
We’re in the not-s0-early stages of this disease. I’m just surprised at how easily the left has won.

But don’t you think that the increase in gun violence is just a product of our steady increase in violence as a human race? There were no statistics given about how much gun violence increased in countries who DIDN’T have a gun ban.
We’re probably less violent “as a human race” than at any other time in history.

England has a total ban on firearms except for shotguns held at hunting clubs under strict controls. Australia collected and destroyed handguns and semi-auto rifles and shotguns. Please explain why the British police now are armed when they never were before? Why armed home invasions have skyrocketed in Australia where guns are banned from ownership.
In the U.S. the cities with the highest murder rate is DC, which had until recently, banned handgun ownership by citizens. Chicago, NYC, Boston in fact most of the liberal bastions that ban gun ownership have high crime rates compared to places that allow gun ownership and concealed carry.
Finally, if what you say was true, why don’t the individuals who shoot up schools, churches, post offices and day care centers shoot up police stations, gun shops, gun shows and firing ranges?
I can give you links to research, better you do it on your own lest you feel you’ve been steered to one place or another. Don’t believe all of what is in the media, actually I wouldn’t believe any of it. The ones writing about guns know not of what they speak.
Brier, one more thing, have you heard about the huge increase in knifings in Britain? Now they wish to ban knives. Next they’ll be kicking each other so they’ll have to ban shoes. Perhaps they should ban people!
Or better yet, stop with this nonsense of worrying about the punks’ feelings and hang a few of them. Put some of them to work at hard labor for 20 years and not worry about rehabilitating them. The whole damn world is becoming a “Clockwork Orange.”
The evolutionary purpose of the conciliator and appeaser is to sacrifice the members at the edges of the herd, therefore occupying the predator with the killing and eating of the weak, while the rest of the herd runs away. Fighting back changes the dynamic.
This is fine for wildebeasts and gazelles, but pretty hard on the weak, and those rendered defenseless by the state. It will take a generation for liberalism to winnow out the resisters and establish the Hobbeseian world they fear the most.
Nah, the resisters move away from the herd, leaving the weak to be preyed on until the outer rings are winnowed and the predators get to the cowards in the center. A solution quite condign.
Forget not, the wussies of the world carry a scent that says “I am prey!” They hope by groveling their life is spared; slavery is more acceptable.
