I’ll cry in my beer. ( if I had gas to go to a bar to buy a beer, if I could afford a beer, if my house hadn’t depreciated) I’m glad Obama got a good loan to buy a nice house. I’m glad Rangel and Dodd got good deals on mortgages and Harry got that sweet deal on that desert property.
I understand that auto loans and credit cards might be included in the bailout. I don’t have any of those debts. How much do I have to borrow to be included?
It feels terrible to work, pay all your bills on time, they be left out of this great deal. It really sucks. And I don’t even have money left over to buy a beer to cry in. But I have a picture of all of you!

What incentive do parents have to teach the kids about responsibility?
Why, the schools will get the lil darlings to show up every day by bribing them with money so the credit card companies can make sure the cards are maxed out before graduation and then the government will just fix the problem by billing their parents.
But 95% of us won’t have any tax increases at all !

Vermont Woodchuck’s graphic depiction of congress is about right, but let’s get this right. All politicians go poopee and all politicians are fundamentally piglets looking for a free meal. And by the way, haven’t the Repubs had practical control of the legislative process for most of a decade? And whose campaign manager was a paid lobbyist for Fannie and Freddy until they became political kryptonite?
Sorry Twaddle, the couple thousands that Rick Davis got flogging for mortgage companies is about as much as spit in the ocean compared to Boy Obama’s brutha Franklin Raines 100 million dollar kiss and his other advisor, a guy by the name of Johnson’s equally large payoff.
I think in this current crisis, the responsibilty is soley with the DemoRats. Lets start with the idiot with the fool belt, Jimmah Carter. The Libs got all worked up over phoney racism and discrimination in lending and mortgages. So, they responded with the so-called CRA, The Community Reinvestment Act, which encouraged banks to make loans to folks who did not deserve them.
Fast forward this to the early 90’s. Insufficient numbers (to the lefties) of so-called minorities and more agitiation from the perpetually aggrieved caused x42’s administration to amend the CRA , leading to threats and pressure on these institutions to make even more irresponsible lending.
In 2003 and 2005, this Adminstration and Senator McCain TRIED to do something about Fannie and Freddie, but Representative Fat Gay Porn King, Chukie Schylock (always demanding his pound of taxpayer flesh) and others repeatedly blocked ANY attempt at reining in this excess.
This is a Democrat Scandal, as plain as the angry scowl on Mrs. Obamasiah’s face (who always makes me think of the old Redd Foxx joke about miking cookies).
