It’s amazing to think that Obama could have tripled his brother’s monthly income for the price of a Starbucks coffee but hasn’t. I think that says a lot about your character or lack thereof.

But you know whose money he will send to his brother? Yours and mine despite the fact that none of us has made millions writing books.

A contrarian view. Does he have an obligation to half-siblings he doesn’t know, and who live on another continent? I don’t know. Maybe with his worldview and rapture in secular charity, he does.

Whatever his obligation, he seems to have a problem tying all his ideas together, and knowing when he ought to keep his mouth shut.

I have no idea if he has any obligation to his half brothers; I would think probably he has some out of decency.

HOWEVER, in the interest of very partisan politics, I’m willing to tar his socialist ass with the obligatum until he falls down with a petroleum rash. That African chicken IS going to come home to roost.

If he were a libertarian, I might be willing to see it that way, Rhod. But as a socialist, it’s just another example of do as I say, not as I do. It’s no different than Al Gore preaching to us about global warming while he’s riding around in private jets.

You’re right, Pat. He claims to have deep feelings for his father, who left a long time ago, and along with his social consciousness, you’d think he could have done something. Another empty space between talk and practice.

The thing that bothers me most is that his brother lives at a subsistence level. A sawbuck a year would have made a huge difference in his life. Hell, the change the maid finds in his pockets would have been nice.

The poorest of the poor in America live better than Obama’s brother, but he has the nerve to tell us we’re not doing enough. The whole thing boggles the mind.
