McCain’s Chickens Come Home to Roost

John McCain spent most of his career bashing conservatives, cultivating media “friendships”, and celebrating his maverick image.  Therefore, the NY Times rejection of his Op Ed because it’s not “Obamaish” is just laced with bitter irony.  However, I’d be curious to know how many rewrites Obama did on his piece before it was accepted.  Truth be told, and as clearly implied by the Times response that Obama’s piece just “worked” for them, they treat every utterance by Obama like he’s giving the Sermon on the Mount.

When it’s all said and done, I wonder if the wedge McCain drove between himself and the base for media approbation will pay off?  I’m skeptical that he’ll get more independents and liberals than the conservatives he turned off with his “maverick” ways.

Centuries later, another ripple across the ocean lands us in another brand new world. Here in New England where the shot heard round the world now almost inaudibly echoes the First Estate culturally spoke, and broke souls. The Second Estate temporally metasticizes and attempts to usurp “inalienable” freedoms. Why would we believe the Fourth Estate would have any sense of noble purpose?

The Third Estate…us powerless, individual commoners, peons, nobodys?….

Do we want to provide for our families with our work at private jobs or do we want our lives sustained by a “compassionate”, (public) government?

Do we believe our children belong to us or the schools?

Do we still feel free to pursue happiness as long as we don’t harm anyone else or ourselves?

Questions need answers, fundamentally and urgently, as like minds gather. If we talk, we can listen, and conversly. NER provides the door where Patriots would be posting their Urgencies if they had had the chance here in New England in 1776 but they’re not and We are.

I can only hope that if Juan McCrank, despite the best efforts of the Obamahadis, beats Black Muhammad in November; that McCain’s legendary temper and ablity to hold a grudge flares up and he sees the various groups on the Left as the enemies of America they are.,

Bryan, McCain seems to lack the will to win this contest in the first place, temper or not. But you’re right. If he’s President, all the apparent good feeling that he’s found across the aisle will evaporate, and he’ll either cave or spend his four years chewing the furniture.

I’d prefer that he’d spend his 4 years chewing up the DhimmiRATs which we have far too many, all utterly worthless sacks of crap, rather than the furniture; which being the White House and all, is probably rare and very valuable.
