Obama’s Convoluted Foreign Policy
Let me see if I have all of this straight. Barack Obama, who didn’t support the surge in Iraq and won’t recognize the positive results, supports a surge for Afghanistan. Pray tell, Messiah, what makes the Afghan surge more likely to yield results than the Iraq one you never supported?
And if that didn’t make your head hurt, Obama promises to end the war in Iraq and will celebrate by starting one in Pakistan:
“Al-Qaida has an expanding base in Pakistan that is probably no farther from their old Afghan sanctuary than a train ride from Washington to Philadelphia.
“We cannot tolerate a terrorist sanctuary, and as president I won’t,” he said.
“We must make it clear that if Pakistan cannot or will not act, we will take out high-level terrorist targets like (Osama) bin Laden if we have them in our sights.”
So Barrack Obama is going to “restore” our standing in the international community by violating the sovereignty of a nuclear armed Pakistan. I guess you have to believe in his messianic powers to make sense of these plans.
If this is the best he can do with a prepared speech and teleprompter, no wonder he won’t face McCain in town hall meetings. The debates should be very entertaining when this empty suit won’t have his campaign staffers whispering in his ear.
It’s also interesting to note all these policies were developed prior to his trip overseas where he was suppose to gain some gravitas on international issues. Of course that dog and pony show is akin to visiting Niagara Falls and claiming you’re now qualified to be ambassador to Canada.

Better pull your gravitas out of that hole in the ground first, Obama.
Obama prepares to lead the military so that we will not fight the last war. Last, next or this, he wouldn’t know. He never even served in the Young Communist Guards, which would have given him some military discipline at least.
Just a troll but slightly on subject. If anyone is voting for ANY incumbent for national office, you will be responsible for furthering this economic mess we’re in. Not a one cares about the country; either they’re in cahoots or cowards.
Taking the war to Pakistan is perhaps the most foolish thing America can do. Pakistan has 160 million Arabs and a nuclear arsenol. Pakistan also has the support of China. The last thing the United States should do at this point and time is to violate yet another state’s sovereignty.
Pakistan isn’t this omnipotent power that controls that portion of the world. Get them involved in an internecine dustup, I’m sure India would be happy to reduce the population.
Between sliding down hillsides and attempting an Olympics, China has it’s hands full, a bit more than they can handle comfortably at the time. Get their army running around, most will die of emphysema just from the foul air in the cities.
If we turn a bunch of those big rocks in the Kush area in to gravel, that doesn’t leave many to foment problems in Lahore.
What will that do for us? Give us a shortage of cabdrivers in NY and force the closing of a batch of 7-11’s for some time.
It will come as a surprise to Pashtuns, etc., that their country also has 160 million Arabs, and a nuclear…what? First off, that’s a lot of Arabs in hiding. Maybe they came in during the partition in ‘48.
Pakistan, though, is probably more dangerous than Iran at the moment. More radical, more insular, and more unstable.
At any rate, the tribal areas that submerge the old Durand Line “border” on both sides - which neither Pakistan nor Aghanistan has confirmed or renegotiated after the Line expired - has never qualified for “sovereignty”, in the legal sense. Movement has always been easy and natural for the Waziris, in particular, and they don’t recognize a border.
We’re already in there, with SF teams, and no one is preoccupied with Pakistani sovereignty…and we’re in the administered territories, not in Islamabad. We’re in Iran, and dozens of other places with SF teams, sovereignty be damnned.
Maszka, I looked you up. Still can’t figure out what you’re trying to say. Explain LPOH + HLPI = HPST where Pakistan is the issue. Elegant? I don’t think so.
And by the way, how you doin’ with Publish America?
“Of course that dog and pony show is akin to visiting Niagara Falls and claiming you’re now qualified to be ambassador to Canada.”
It worked for Argeo Paul Cellucci, did it not?
Hah! Bryan said something like the N-word. Ban him!
