Tim Russert - Dead at 58

Tim Russert, host of Meet the Press, has died of a heart attack at the age of 58. He was one of the few mainstream media commentators that I respect. He will be missed.n_russert_specialreport2_080613vsmall.jpg

Something like this really makes you think about how fast it can all end.

My condolences go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

Why wasn’t it Bill O’Reilly? The good die young. Very sad. I send my condolences to Tim’s family and friends.

If you want to go down that road I could say why wasn’t it Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews. But I won’t because I wouldn’t wish death on anyone (except someone like Osama Bin Laden).

Try having a little class next time and leave the politics out of it.

Lefties can’t leave politics out of it. All of life is politics to them.

Quite a shame and stunning news, no one’s perfectly, but he’s truly a newsman that the world would be better off to see more of. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends this evening.

The Tim Russert standard is a high bar and one which will lead into the future thanks to his professional commitment. My thoughts and prayers to his family, with gratitude for the blessings they supported him with.
