I’ll admit it…..I’ve made my next Presidential choice and am aware of the sacrifices made in order for me to do so and the importance of choosing wisely.
Our next President should serve to provide a platform for US citizens to actualize their individual hopes and demonstrate a commitment to eliminating or reducing the excessive governmental shackles which impede the natural expression of Free Lives. Humans, all of us, we should be well aware of our errors and our imperfect world and committed to doing things right in the future. I believe “change” is incumbent primarily upon US and not THEM. “Change” is owned, subjectively, and as such, no candidate will ever be able to please all the People all of the time. Are we prepared to change our tendency to blame, criticize and hold political resentments which have heretofore guaranteed political paralysis, even before Inauguration Day? Two loyally opposed parties can nonetheless choose between co-operation and obstruction in defeat, with a respect for our one Flag.
Historically, Massachusetts has had one-party rule for quite a while now. Generation after generation of Democrats voted for …..Democrats. The oppressive liberalism of the Kennedys, John Kerry and Barney Frank drove conservatives to other states and ultimately the Legislature reveled in one-party rule. Games aplenty, always, and then there are the Bulger boys… Legislative sessions flaunt disrespect of anyone who hopes for fairness…witness the power play of denying Massachusetts residents their vote on the gay marriage issue.
In my opinion, Governor Romney has the right position on religious tolerance. I know his balanced budgets. I know his disaster response. I know his ability to get results and I recognize the discipline and intelligence he used in handling the undisciplined greed and vice rampant in the Commonwealth’s Legislature.
My family is a Marine Corps Family and I, an Online PMM. Marine Corps Families all over this country know the mental discipline required to deal with opposition. I plan to vote for my Governor, Governor Romney.
The only change that should be valued is individual, freely-chosen change, even if that change is entirely invisible to others.
The State should not be an arbiter or engine of change. It can only effectively be an engine of control. Government can NEVER effectively concern itself with metaphysics. It can barely assure us justice and order.
