British Leftists Speak The Truth

Tim Blair has the operative sentences:
“An audience of British leftists is asked: “Do you feel morally superior to the Taliban?” Their response:
Only about a third raised a hand to say they did, a nice demonstration of relativist liberal guilt.”
About which, we can conclude that two-thirds of the gathered lefties think of themselves at least as morally EQUIVALENT to the Taliban. Can I get an amen to that? No doubt a similar sample could be found here in Connecticut.

Lefties reek of guilt. A natural product of their alimentary system, the ejecta indelibly stains them as unfit for human society.

Guilt is only relevant to your own actions and virtues. The phony guilt of liberalism is a condemnation of the actions of OTHER people, usually groups or even civilizations. It’s a cheap self-indulgent melancholy that binds these fools together in a group sob and helps them find friends. You can get a dose of liberal guilt for almost nothing, like an STD.
Eagleton, for example, is a Marxist, a believer in the system that built mountains of skulls everywhere it was applied. And this disgusting crank is consumed by the leftover guilt of Western imperalism? No one starts out as a leftist or a liberal. It’s the mental and moral decay that results from the weird and malevolent assumptions of progressivism. You leave the gate with potential and wind up a screwball.
