The Silent War
Meanwhile, the Democrats’ focus is Iraq, the pre-911 World, and getting the nitwit Hillary Clinton into the Oval Office
The Arab European League is worth a look.
Click on “English”, review their Vision and Agenda. It’s standard universalist lefty boilerplate, appropriated for the purposes of pleasing servile, multi-culti lefty Euro-clods. But it emphasizes the Arab diaspora in especially obtuse terms. It’s unclear whether the Middle East is the Home and European Islam is the diaspora, or the other way around.
Just a quick review of the scrolling topic reel to the right of the home page will tell you all you need to know. It’s going to be a long, long fight, and let’s hope we’re never going back Over There. Let them swing.

So, with an ocean’s leap of possibility-logic might it not be prudent of us to open discussion about our own defenses? We are ducks in open-society booths…schoolchildren ducks, shopping ducks, worshiping ducks, athletic arena ducks and rail and plane riding ducks.
In the midst of this election process we too dance around boilerplates that continue to waste time beating up and around Bush even though he will not be our President in the near future. Inauguration Day will be here before we know it. It is our imperative that we demand answers (the correct ones!) between now and then. We witness claims of “brilliant” reactivity to single issues and intentional calculations of political power assertion as solutions to real world confrontation and neither approach will protect us.
There’s precious little time left to debate whether The Presidency is an Art or a Science and other abstracts which have been debated for decades, with any conclusions gaseously mutable with each Presidental personality and extraneous affairs as wedded in Office. Perhaps the best we can hope for is an executive who can understand and respect the separate definitions of legal, moral and ethical issues and who has the capacity to govern with intellect and heart, position him or (UGH, HER) and then draw on our sometimes tenuous, sometimes deep, sometimes non-existant Belief in our God.
I’ll be redundant, “Do not let these maggots emigrate here to escape their desserts.”
Force them to live in the true liberal condition: abased servitude.
Helen, until we’re serious enough, as a nation, to require a serious President, we’ll get what we deserve. Obama dancing with Ellen Degeneres is an indignity, I think, but the mooning masses demand it.
Hotspur,
Totally agree, the politicians deliver what the ‘masses’ want. To be brutally frank, the political class in the UK isn’t any better either concerned as it is with photo shoots and soundbites.
For instance, the ‘Great Blair’ with an initial huge majority failed to tackle crime with any serious measures and only now, after a decade in power is the Labour Government, thinking about building more prisons but allowed his Chancellor to wreck the UK pensions sustem.
Again for instance, in less than 15 years according to some projections, like those of Prof. King, the UK faces an energy crisis. Not a pretend one, but one that requires a solution. The only realistic solution is nuclear power but no-one in power wants to face the challenge of delivering it. Perhaps they want to rely on such stable areas as Russia to supply the UK with gas!!
To paraphrase Sir Humpfrey Appleton, the only purpose of Government is to stay in power. Everything that comes about because of that is a side effect. Good, bad or un-intended!
