After Complaint in Riverside, flag-folding recitations banned at veterans’ cemeteries nationwide

Through thousands of military burials, Memorial Honor Detail volunteers at Riverside National Cemetery have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of every fold to survivors of those being laid to rest.
The first fold, a narrator tells relatives, represents life, the second a belief in internal life.
The 11th fold celebrates Jewish war veterans and “glorifies the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”.
A single complaint lodged against the words for the 11th fold recently prompted the National Cemetery Administration to ban the entire recital at all 125 national national cemeteries.
A spokesman in Washington said the complaint originated from someone who witnessed the ceremony at Riverside National but would provide no other details and declined to release the directive banning the 13-fold recital, saying it was “an internal working document not meant for public distribution”.
(That means they don’t want you to know about it. Moorlocks hate the sunshine.)
This orgy of clownery goes on, with Mike Nacinik, “spokesman for the National Cemetery Administration”, who says the flag-folding is “not government approved” and they’re “looking for consistency” . Read the rest if you have a strong stomach….

Don’t you just LOVE the American Legion rep who responded to this. Basically, he said to the cemetary assoc “Up Yours!” they will just continue the way they have been doing it for years. Right on!!!
The NCA has 1400 employees for 123 cemeteries. Why the hell do they need a “spokesman”? They need a front man to hide the career desk sores who run the show. When nobody is in charge, nobody can be blamed or confronted.
The problem here is that the 13-fold is permitted if YOU ASK, and no NCA employees or VOLUNTEERS, either, are involved. Well, screw you NCA. Volunteers are under no employee obligation. This is typical bureaucrap. A reasonable policy would be to permit some to be excluded.
The lackey who implies it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with uniformity is a flat-out liar. It has everything to do with religion. These losers simply want to remain invisible in their window offices and play with their pencils.

The NCA’s prohibition is doubly appalling because it’s so cowardly. Sooner or later, all these manifestations of Western culture will have to be defended vigorously, or completely discarded. There is no neutral territory in this.
We are a NATION or we aren’t. There’s room for others in this affair, but if we let these spinelss poltroons decide for us….and yes, these idiots at the NCA are probably veterans (so what?)…the only end is decay and chaos. We need to be heard.
