Where are the Republicans

I fervently hope Republicans are industriously outfitting themselves with new vertebrae.

With the reality of explosive growth in entitlement costs demanding every tax dollar in the country, this SCHIP program is a blivit, i.e. 5 pounds of poop in a 4 pound bag. Who is going to carry it? Not the Donks, they’re not going to get this on themselves.

Republican “leadership” (what an oxymoron) is hiding in the senate cloakroom. McConnell is glad the blogs are carrying the water, keeps his shoes dry. Mitch, with no spine, you’ll have no trouble flopping over to shine those shoes.

One of two conditions exists: Republicans are so feckless they will not stand up for fiscal sanity, ergo they deserve to lose their seats or they are closet liberals, ergo they deserve to lose their seats.

With the GOP’s political position desiccating like Algore’s world, Conservatives are bereft of sane representation. Meanwhile, the MSM protects the craven and the Pinko bloggers say this about us:

The difference between the far right wing and the far left wing:  the far right will do anything — anything — so long as the ends justifies the means.

Something has gone wrong on the Right. Become sick and twisted and tumorous and ugly. To visit Michelle Malkin’s cave is to see politics at its most savage, its most ferocious, its most rageful.

Yesterday, ThinkProgress noted the right wing has been orchestrating a coordinated effort to smear a 12 year old recipient of SCHIP. These conservatives have been propagating baseless “facts” to suggest that young Graeme Frost was actually a rich kid being pampered by the government. Rush Limbaugh has joined in the smear campaign.

I was talking to Tim via AOL IM, and I decided it was probably worthwhile to bring this up for everyone. One of the things that is so surprising (for me, at least) about the whole Graeme Frost episode is that rather than make their case against this program with their vicious assault against this family, they Malkin/Freeper/Limbaugh brigade are doing just the opposite. Rather than expose this family as a bunch of frauds and lazy slackers and welfare queens, they are making the family’s case.

The bloggers on the Right are pushing and pushing back. Those “public servants” taking the tax dollar to work for the country are not standing watch.

Then I guess we’ll just have to force the issue by making more noise…what is it that we want to see in our leadership in the coming term?

Foward looking, I think we can agree that international issues of security and defense, health care and education are certainties. Some additional issues will emerge of their own accord…but issues aside for the moment, the overriding concern I would like to air is the need for leadership which is capable of cohesively integrating those separate issues under a purposeful vision towards staving off destructive social instability.

Wherever it appears, I want to see American excellence celebrated. We are well aware of all that’s illegal, contrived and ugly but the other side of reality includes goodness, truth and beauty in the content of our character. We have much to be proud of which has languished unrecognized and unrespected and I want our new leader to bring it front and center!

I think we’re coloring without lines, Hotspur…

LOL, Helen. They couldn’t stay within the lines…

Coloring with out lines is something at which kids are really good and at which adults suck.

Lines kill creativity.

Perhaps we could consider this apparent amorphity as camoflaged opportunity to re-oxygenate our bruised New England Conservative spirit…
…Hmmmm? Wadayatink?

Make sure the individual has the coloration you want regardless of the “affiliation” to a party. New England is heavily populated with RINO’s.
