VW:
We had a little pup in Tay Ninh we called Claymore. Claymore found his way into a stew pot at the Filipino CAG. Before then I was too young and stupid to understand that dog is a staple in some cultures.
We could always have them all shipped over here and let them loose to prowl the Mexican border.
Feral, rapid dogs patrolling the border? Wave, you are definitely full of surprises.
Wave, one more like that and and you’ll have to go back and look at Theresa picture. ARF, ARF!!
Rhod, the RIDF that worked with us would have 3 or 4 pooches in their contingent. Not a bad idea; the dogs could smell the NVA. Additionally no rucking food, dinner walked right behind us. Which worked out well. The M-1 they carried was bigger than they were.
Ummm…..you guys can keep your own company on this one… Please pass the salad!
Helen, a little stir-fry Retriever is out of this world.
Hold the phones, VW!
M-1? The jeep, the rifle or the…something else?
NO! NO! Not my Border Collie! Have I ever mentioned that she likes lettuce too? Kitty’s the roaring beef-eater!
UH-OH!…I guess I should leave her out of this….
Helen, I haven’t tried Border Collie. You’ve got great taste in dogs…I mean, excellent choice, no, he must be a real treat for you…uh, damn. You know what I mean.
Rhod,
She’s looking at me…..
The rifle, we armed them with that cannon. That and the steel pot dwarfed them.
These were the indigenes up in the hills, not the Arvin. I never trusted the Arvin. Every time I had to work with them, bad things happened. Glad it wasn’t too often.
Kitty cacciatora? Hmmm! Doesn’t sound Asian…
…lovingly…..
Actually, guys, she’s not my dog…..she’s my son’s.
Kitty’s mine, and I know exactly where she is, VW.
Calico Cacciatore. Ours lived for twenty years before we had to ease her on her way. Her replacement much the same. We miss them desparately, even now.
Indigenes, VW? SVN’s version of the Indian, and treated much the same. That story isn’t told, yet. Very sad.
We had an all black stray (some one tossed her out of a car) show up at the window back in 1999. We had her wormed, and kept her indoors for the most part. Came house broken, didn’t scratch furniture or eat food left out, except hers. Just one great cat who was mistreated by former owners.
We put her down just before X-mas, cancer. She couldn’t get enough food past the blockage; she dropped down to 6 pounds in a three week period. Still miss her, find myself looking around before I sit at the computer.
I just knew it!…..Seems to me there’ll be litters of kittens dropping soon, guys!
Who’s preggy?
Shhh. No preggy cats, please. If my wife hears, we’re starting all over again with another pet. It’s been a year and a half since the last nighty-night for Angus the tabby, and we still can’t wash his nose prints off the picture window.
