Bill Clinton must be insane

Our friend Bill Clinton is in full pander mode to his friends in the international community:

Noting the plummeting image of the United States in the Muslim world — except in Indonesia, where Clinton himself has been helping with tsunami relief — he said that “it’s a big argument for doing things in a cooperative way rather than in a unilateral way.”

Mocking the Bush administration policy of “cooperate when there’s no other alternative,” he added: “We should still have a preference for peace over war, a preference for cooperation over unilateralism, a preference for investing more to build a world with more partners and fewer terrorists.”

Nobody ever accused Bill Clinton of not cooperating with our “friends” in the international community. He had no problems pretending Yassir Arafat was a respected world leader and not a terrorist robbing his country blind. He loved Kyoto even though not one Senator in a notoriously fickle Senate cast a single vote for it. He dabbled in places like Somalia, Haiti, and Kosovo at the bidding of his international brethren without any clear US national security interest. His State Department pretended Kofi Annan and the UN were relevant while turning a blind eye to the worst human rights abusers being placed on UN commissions. He and Albright advanced the North Korean nuclear program with technology and money on the strict assurances they would not be utilized in a weapons program. He strictly used law enforcement when faced with numerous terrorist incidents in accordance with international desire. His administration refused extradition of Osama bin Laden because they feared violating international law. He signed on to the notion that US soldiers should be held accountable by the International War Crimes Tribunal.

What did all of this “cooperation” gain us? The World Trade Center was bombed. Our soldiers were killed by radical Islamic terrorists on the USS Cole and in Khobar Towers. Numerous US embassies were bombed. Ultimately, it culminated in the deaths of 3,000 US civilians on 9/11, an operation planned well before President Bush’s Inauguration Day.

Yet, Bill Clinton lectures President Bush about the joys of “cooperation” when it clearly failed during his Presidency? Far be it for anyone to suggest you stop pandering to the international community long enough to support the current President in war time. President Bush is cleaning up the mess left by your willful refusal to act in our nations best interests so the crowd at Davos can adore you yearly. I for one do not wish to return to those “good” old days. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.”

Slick Willie is a real happy man. He has now been replaced in D.C. as the biggest liar by Dusty Harry Reid. That doesn’t mean he’s not still a liar, just no longer the biggest in a power slot. Slick has to keep up the lies to keep his face on camera and regain the #1 liar slot while trying to out do his wife the Weasel. It’s gonna be an interesting summer watching to see who win’s the biggest liar contest. I think the lefties have grown up with so many liars on their side they assume everyone is lying.
