Anyone who thinks the MSM really cares about Kerik’s personal life is dead wrong. Besides the fact that the American people were constantly told in Clinton’s second term that being accused of rape is a personal matter, this is nothing more than an attempt to damage Rudy. Rumor has it that Rudy pushed Bush to nominate Kerik for Homeland Security Director and now, the MSM has gone full throttle in their investigation of Kerik’s personal affairs (gee, if they were only so interested in Kerry’s personal affairs when he was running for President!).

The problem for Rudy is either he turned a blind eye to Kerik’s alleged shenanigans or they never bothered him in the first place. This puts a temporary smudge on Rudy’s resume, but will not be the story that disqualifies him from running for President. But, make no mistake: over the next few years, the MSM and the left will work overtime to portray Rudy as a Tony Soprano mob type the same way they made “oilman” Dick Cheney the modern day J.R. Ewing…..without the drunk wife.
